Computer Vision Enabled Data Analytics for Intelligent Emerging Applications

Aim and Scope

The incorporation of computer vision technologies into the Internet of Things has the potential to be beneficial for a wide range of healthcare applications. Some examples of these applications include intelligent healthcare monitoring, online education, smart manufacturing, smart transportation, and so on. The huge amounts of streaming data that will be produced by future Internet-of-Things frameworks, cloud computing systems, and edge computing platforms will serve as the basis for future creative solutions. Computer vision research needs to be able to identify problems, produce solutions that can be implemented, include human expertise into the investigation process, and generalize its findings for it to be of any use in the long run.

One of the most important goals of this Special Section is to encourage academics to have a research about how to improve machine learning/deep learning-driven approaches to data analytics so that they can be applied to a wider variety of healthcare applications. This special session is meant to give an alertness of Intelligent Computing and data analytics using machine learning /deep learning and many advanced computational methods in healthcare applications. It mainly focuses on major achievements and developments in intelligent medical imaging, intelligent Emerging Applications processing, and smart health care applications.

The topics of interest are broad, including but not limited to the related sub-topics listed below:

  • Intelligent Emerging Computational Applications such as Image reconstruction, multi-modality image fusion.
  • Deep learning-based image analysis and enhancement.

  • Development in healthcare application using deep learning.

Dr. Manoj Diwakar is currently working as Associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun. With 12 years of industrial and academic experience, he is committed and dedicated to the continuous upliftment of the research environment in the department. With the strong academic background, he has a multifaceted educational qualification. Prior to joining Graphic Era University, he has associated with DIT University, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun and Mody University of Technology & Science (Formerly known as Mody Institute of Technology & Science) Laxmangarh, Sikar, Rajasthan. He has achieved his B.Tech Degree from Dr. R. M. L. Awadh University, Faizabad and M.Tech from MITS, Gwalior, India. He achieved his Ph. D. Degree from the Department of Computer Science, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, India. Dr. Diwakar is also serving as Professional Member of IEEE and Life Member of IAENG (International Association of Engineers). His research interests include Image Processing, Information Security and Medical Imaging. He has published around 110 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, books and book chapters with national and international publishers of repute like IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, Hindawi, Inderscience, IGI Global and many more. He serves as a reviewer of many international journals like IEEE transactions, Elsevier Journals, Springer Journals, Hindawi Journals, Inderscience Journals, IGI Global Journals and many more. He has also served as Guest editors of many reputed Journals like Hindawi Journals, Bentham Science Journals and many more. He also organized many international conferences. He has also served as Associate editor/Editorial member of many reputed Journals like SPIE Journal of Electronic Imaging, SPIE Journal of Optical Engineering, International Journal of Grid and Utility Computing, Inderscience and many more.
